Now in its 13th year, the Oklahoma Supercomputing Symposium is the oldest annual event of its kind in an EPSCoR jurisdiction.

Attendance in 2013 was 263:

  • 95 (36%) from OU, 168 (64%) non-OU (or unstated)
  • 203 (77%) academic, 60 (23%) non-academic (or unstated)
    • 29 academic institutions in 10 states and one other country
    • 25 commercial firms
    • 9 government agencies (federal and state)
    • 5 non-governmental organizations
  • 190 (72%) Oklahoman, 73 (28%) non-Oklahoman (or unstated)
  • 232 (88%) from EPSCoR jurisdictions, 31 (12%) not from EPSCoR jurisdictions (or unstated)

The 12 Symposia to date have had aggregate attendance over 3000, from:

  • 106 academic institutions from 27 US states and territories
    including
    70 academic institutions from 14 EPSCoR jurisdictions
  • 129 private companies
  • 36 government agencies (federal, state, municipal, foreign)
  • 19 non-governmental organizations
